Our 13 Days Morocco Grand Tour is the ultimate journey to experience the very best of Morocco. Starting in vibrant Marrakech, you’ll travel through the High Atlas Mountains, spend two nights in the dramatic Dades Valley, and enjoy two magical nights in the Merzouga Desert with camel trekking, stargazing, and optional quad biking.

The tour continues with guided sightseeing in Fes, leisure time in Chefchaouen, the “Blue Pearl”, and visits to the historic cities of Tangier and Rabat, before ending in Casablanca with the chance to see the magnificent Hassan II Mosque. With two guided city tours and flexible pacing, this itinerary is ideal for those wanting a full Moroccan experience.

Our 12 Days Morocco Grand Tour itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech – transfer to your accommodation

Upon arrival at Marrakech Airport, you’ll be greeted by our driver and transferred to your hotel or riad. Free time to rest and adjust to the atmosphere of Morocco.

Day 2: Marrakech Sightseeing with Official Local Guide

Today, enjoy a private guided city tour of Marrakech with our official licensed guide. Visit the Koutoubia Mosque, Bahia Palace, the vibrant Jemaa el-Fnaa Square, and wander through the colorful souks. Afternoon at leisure or optional visit to Majorelle Gardens.

Day 3: Marrakech – High Atlas – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley

Cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, stopping for panoramic views. Visit the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah (UNESCO site) and continue through Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa.” Arrival in Dades Valley for overnight.

Driving time: ~6.5 hours

Day 4: Dades Valley Excursion

Today you’ll spend the day exploring the Dades Valley and Gorges. Walk through the “Monkey Fingers” rock formations, visit Berber villages, and enjoy the dramatic canyons. Dinner and overnight in Dades for a second night.

Day 5: Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Merzouga Desert

Travel to Tinghir and explore the spectacular Todra Gorges with its 300m cliffs. Continue to Merzouga, where camels await to take you on a sunset trek into the dunes. Dinner and overnight in a desert camp.

Day 6: Merzouga Desert Exploration

A full day in the Sahara Desert. Explore the Erg Chebbi dunes by 4x4 jeep, visit Khamlia village to hear Gnawa music, and stop at nomadic families. Optional activities include quad biking, dune buggies, or horse riding. Second overnight in the desert.

Day 7: Merzouga – Ziz Valley – Ifrane – Fes

Leave Merzouga and travel through the Ziz Valley with its palm groves, then cross the Middle Atlas Mountains. Stop in Midelt for lunch and pass through Ifrane, nicknamed “Little Switzerland.” Arrive in Fes for overnight.

Day 8: Fes Sightseeing with Official Local Guide

Today, enjoy a private guided tour of Fes Medina, the cultural capital of Morocco. Visit Bou Inania Madrasa, Al-Qarawiyyin Mosque & University (oldest in the world), and explore the tanneries and souks. Evening at leisure in Fes.

Day 9: Fes – Volubilis - Rif Mountains – Chefchaouen

After breakfast, drive north through the Rif Mountains to the enchanting Chefchaouen, known for its blue-painted houses and relaxed atmosphere. Free evening to wander the medina. Overnight in Chefchaouen.

Driving time: ~4.5 hours

Day 10: Chefchaouen at Leisure – Optional Trekking to Akchour

Spend the day at leisure in Chefchaouen, enjoying its unique charm. Optionally, take a guided excursion to the Akchour Waterfalls in the Rif Mountains. Second overnight in Chefchaouen.

Day 11: Chefchaouen – Tangier

Depart Chefchaouen and travel to Tangier, a city at the crossroads of Africa and Europe. Explore the Kasbah, Medina, and Cap Spartel. Overnight in Tangier.

Driving time: ~2.5 hours

Day 12: Tangier – Rabat

Travel south along the Atlantic coast to Rabat, Morocco’s capital. Visit the Hassan Tower, Mohammed V Mausoleum, and the Kasbah of the Udayas. Overnight in Rabat.

Driving time: ~4.5 hours

Day 13: Rabat – Casablanca Airport (with Hassan II Mosque visit if time allows)

Drive to Casablanca, Morocco’s economic hub. If flight schedule allows, visit the Hassan II Mosque, the largest in Morocco. Drop-off at Casablanca Airport.

Driving time: ~2.5 hours
