Culture: Taking Photos
Some Moroccans object strongly to having their photograph taken, and some are offended if you take a photo of them without their permission. It can be particularly upsetting for women if they find that their photo has been put on the internet.
- Always ask permission before taking photos of people
- Sometimes people will allow you to photograph them for a small tip
- Do not put photos of Moroccan women on the internet
- If you can, it is kind to let people have a copy of their photo
- NEVER try to take photos of the police or military.
